Synergy in Music in China
Synergy in Music
Synergy in Music is a cultural and educational initiative launched in Singapore in 2012 as part of Gazprom Group’s long-term program. The project that has become the synonym of passion for music and energy of young gifted musicians for a number of years has been contributing to deeper forging of intercultural ties and mutual understanding between Russia and the Asian Pacific nations. In 2016, China was selected as a venue for events of Synergy in Music.
Three prominent Russian musicians — cello player Aleksandr Buzlov, violinist Nikita Borisoglebsky, and piano player Sergey Kasprov — arrived to Beijing to share a concert with their Chinese counterparts on 25 November at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. A multitude of art connoisseurs could enjoy virtuoso performance of masterpieces authored by D. Shostakovich, S. Rachmaninoff, M. Ravel, and by a contemporary Chinese composer Zhang Zhao who attended the concert. In addition to the performance at the Conservatory, the musicians held a series of educational master classes for students who managed to grasp the new aspects of professional performing art. This component of general education makes the Synergy in Music project differ from other similar initiatives and helps the young musicians from various countries reach new horizons while studying artistry from legendary performers.
