Gazprom Export defeats Électricité de France (EDF) in a football match
On November 19, Gazprom Export played the first in the history of Gazprom Export's footballer friendly match with Électricité de France, in the French town of Chantilly, near Paris. The Russian team, led by captain Alexander Medvedev, won with a convincing score of 8-0.
Despite the big score, the home team were not a pushover and created, especially in the first half, a series of dangerous moments at the goal post of the guests. Only thanks to the skill of goalkeepers Dmitry Averkin and Anatoly Lushin (each played one half), the Russian goal post remained safe. However, in the second half, the home team clearly did not have enough energy.
The Russian team was awarded a trophy after the match. From now on, it was decided to regularly hold football matches between the teams of both companies.
